This reminds me of the serenity prayer
“God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.”
The part about - the wisdom to know the difference - is key.
It can be very difficult to sort out what messages one feels they are receiving. Even spiritual leaders have fallen, thinking they were following the path of God, when it turns out they weren’t. We must all step back and examine our choices, including the wisdom & insights of friends and family - to ensure we stay on God’s path.
You seem to be in a solid place with your faith - I am proud of you for that - and yes, God is smiling.

Very good thoughts Ali…Thank you for the motivation a couple months ago to look at the way we talk and say things. Very good message to bring…I think our speech is a very good thing to focus on. And “love” is one of the words we should work on using differently. Awesome!
